Texture Image Bank

Texture Image Bank

I really like this image as the texture is very prominent and also changes direction. In this way, the image also presents the formal element of line. I also really like the shades in the image as they draw on the viewers eye and makes the image interesting.

I really like this image as it presents pattern and texture very well. I really like how the image is in black and white as it shows the contours of the rope and helps the viewer to focus more on the aspect of texture in the image by removing the formal element of colour.

This image is quite different to the other ones I have chosen as it is very colourful, bright and presents a manmade form of texture. It shows the texture well due to the shadows in the tubes.

This image is by the photographer Lucy Shires. I really like how you can see the layers of the peeling paint. The image is also very effective due to the dull colours as it helps the viewer to focus on the aspect of texture and not be focused on the bright colours.

This is my favourite image and I feel it shows texture really well. I really like how the texture fills the entire frame and there is no wasted space. I also like how the texture in the image is very prominent and catches the viewers eye.

This image is successful in the presentation of texture due to the varying surfaces of the object. It shows texture well due to the different materials as they all give a very different impression of their textures. These textures are made more obvious due to the black and white filter and this makes for an interesting image.
